UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Kashmir is going to organize a webinar series of online lectures on “COVID-19 AND MENTAL HEATLH” for college and university teachers of Jammu and Kashmir.
UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Kashmir is going to organize a webinar series of online lectures on “COVID-19 AND MENTAL HEATLH” that is primarily aimed at training the teachers about the mental health issues of students particularly during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. During these online lectures, eminent psychiatrists of the valley will interact with college and university teachers and train them on how to support their students in coping up with the negative psychological impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
First lecture in this series will be delivered by Dr. Arshad Hussain, Professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar and the teachers of the Central University of Kashmir, Govt. Degree College, Pampore besides the teachers of the University of Kashmir will participate in this lecture. This inaugural session of the webinar series will be chaired by Prof. Talat Ahmad, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir and Dr. Samia Rashid, Principal and Dean, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar will be the Guest of Honour at this occasion. Mr. Vikas Bagati, Patron, Psychological Counseling Cell of the Higher Education Department will also be one of the panelists at the inaugural session. All the esteemed panelists will briefly share their views and address the participants. Prof. Shabir A. Bhat, Director, UGC-HRDC, University of Kashmir will present his opening remarks whereas the session will be coordinated and conducted by Dr. M.I. Geer, Coordinator, HRDC, University of Kashmir. Other degree colleges of Kashmir will also be roped in future lectures of this webinar series.
